7th June Our last day at Ouistreham
A Trip to Caen.
Home of William the Conqueror Caen is a city worth a tour. We felt our hosts on Opus deserved a treat so we set off for Caen via Pegasus Bridge and stopped off at the Memorial. A short stroll to the Canal gave us a wonderful view of the current Bridge.

Again the Memorial was crowded so we did not go in.
The City of Caen.
Existing before the 10th Century much of it has been rebuilt since WW II but it still retains an atmosphere of those older times. There was no charge to enter the Castle and we parked up for free. Click on Photos to scroll through
At Lunch time we had a great meal eating a selection of savoury crepes and hot french coffee.
We then visited Williams Castle and L'Abbey au Dames. Times up, need to return to Ouistreham for Dinner. Click on photos to scroll through.
